Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Fans at Saturday's Fighting Saints game against the Youngstown Phantoms won't only be treated to a matchup between two teams battling for Eastern Conference playoff position. The Fighting Saints will host their Second Chance Prom, presented by The Hanger, giving all in Dubuque another crack at that special night that they want to remember forever - or permanently forget.

"Our House" at the Mystique Community Ice Center will surely provide a more exciting venue for this Night to Remember than that stale ballroom at the banquet center did the first time around. The diverse food and beverage options at the game will certainly be an upgrade over the "chicken or fish" that was served on prom night.

"We're hoping this will allow some of our fans to either relive their high school days or wash away those painful memories of being rejected by Jeni Miller," said Fighting Saints President Dan Lehv.

No prom would be complete without a king and queen, so two Fighting Saints fans who are dressed in their finest getups for the evening will be crowned and recognized. A limited number of bottles of bubbles will be passed out to fans entering the arena, and all fans will have the opportunity to have their photos taken under the Fighting Saints prom arch - the team wants these memories to last a lifetime. Postgame photos may be taken on the ice with Fighting Saints players, presented by Hartig Drug. Fans should bring their own cameras for photos, and they will receive a coupon for a free 5"x7" print from Hartig Drug.

The evening is presented by The Hanger, which will put on a prom fashion show on an on-ice runway during one of the intermissions. Once the game is over, all fans are invited into the DB&T Club for an "After-Prom" party.

Tickets to the game are available by phone at (563) 583-6880 and in person at the Mystique Community Ice Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on game night up until the start of the second period. Tickets are available 24 hours a day online at DubuqueFightingSaints.com.
