Highly Touted Bischoff to Join Lancers this Weekend

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that highly touted defenseman Jake Bischoff will join the Lancers this weekend and will make his Omaha debut Friday when the Lancers take on the Fargo Force. A 6'0", 180-pound defenseman from Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Bischoff is already committed to the University of Minnesota and was ranked 132nd overall among North American skaters on the 2012 NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings.

Bischoff began the season at Grand Rapids High School where he registered 11 goals, 29 assists and 40 points in just 25 games. Grand Rapids was eliminated from the Minnesota High School hockey playoffs this past Tuesday evening in a 3-2 loss to Forest Lake. Bischoff will wear jersey #12 for the Lancers.

Omaha (26-15-3, 55 pts.) returns to action Friday evening when the Lancers travel up to the Scheels Arena in Fargo for a 7:35 PM showdown with the Force. For more information, visit www.lancers.com.
