Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, IA-The 2015 USHL Clark Cup Playoffs begin April 14 and for the fifth straight season, the Dubuque Fighting Saints have clinched a post-season berth. Playoff seeding is still being determined over the final week of the regular season, but the Fighting Saints have announced potential home playoff dates for all scenarios in the USHL Eastern Conference Semifinal, which begins next week.
Entering this week's action, Dubuque currently sits in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference, but the Fighting Saints could finish anywhere from 2nd to 4th once the regular season ends on April 11. A finish in 2nd place would make Dubuque the higher seed and would give the club home ice advantage. A 3rd or 4th place finish would mean Dubuque is the lower seed.
If Dubuque is the higher seed and finishes 2nd in the Eastern Conference, they would play the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the best-of-five Eastern Conference Semifinal series in a 1-2-1-1 format. The home playoff schedule would be as follows:
Game 2 - Friday, April 17 at Mystique Community Ice Center - 7:35 p.m.
Game 3 - Saturday, April 18 at Mystique Community Ice Center - 7:05 p.m.
Game 5 - Wednesday, April 22 at Mystique Community Ice Center - 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
If Dubuque is the lower seed and finishes either 3rd or 4th in the Eastern Conference, they would play the either the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders or Youngstown Phantoms in the best-of-five Eastern Conference Semifinal series in a 1-2-1-1 format. The home playoff schedule would be as follows:
Game 1 - Tuesday, April 14 at Mystique Community Ice Center - 7:05 p.m.
Game 4 - Monday, April 20 at Mystique Community Ice Center - 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
Fans may lock in tickets to all home playoff games by purchasing a "Pay As We Play" playoff ticket package. With a credit card on file, the package will secure seats to all home playoff games, and the fan will only be charged for the home games the Fighting Saints play during the playoffs.
