Frisco Fighters News Release
FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco Fighters head coach Billy Back announced the signing of defensive lineman Rashad Brandon for the 2023 season.
The 6-foot-3, 305-pound native of Jersey City, New Jersey will join the Fighters from the University of Missouri, where he played his final two years of his collegiate career. In 2017, the linesman played in all 13 games for the Tigers, recording 21 tackles on the year, ranking as fourth-most among Mizzou's defensive linemen and 15th among all Tigers defenders. After playing nine games in the 2018 season, including the Liberty Bowl game on Dec. 31st, Brandon became one of two defensive line players who played in the 2019 Spiral Topical Bowl All-Star game.
"He was a big recruit coming out of junior college to Mizzou," said Back. "He made some big plays in his time spent there. His size and speed will make him a big asset for us and could potentially be someone who can make the next step."
The Frisco Fighters return to the field in March 2023. Squadron Memberships and single-game tickets are on sale now.
