Fighters Sign Defensive Back Shaq Bond

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco Fighters head coach, Billy Back, announced the signing of defensive back Shaq Bond for the 2023 season.
The Decatur, Illinois native is 6-foot 190 pounds. Bond spent his collegiate years at Utah State where he ranks fourth all-time in school history with 193 interception return yards on eight-career interceptions.
Bond was named honorable mention All-Mountain Wet in 2019, 2020 and 2021 as well as Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 16, 2021.
"Shaq is extremely intelligent and an athletic weapon on the back end," said Back. "As a staff, we have been looking at Shaq since the start of the off-season. His presence around the ball and the knowledge on every play he makes is something we were looking for."
