Quad City Steamwheelers News Release
The Quad City Steamwheelers, defending Champions of the IFL's Eastern Conference, have re-signed defensive lineman Jaylin Swan.
In 2022, Swan notched 49 total tackles (31 solo), 7.5 TFLs and 3.5 sacks. In the IFL Championship game against the Northern Arizona Wranglers, Swan recorded 6 total tackles, 0.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
Director of Player Personnel Ryan Michael told SteamwheelersFootball.com: "Jaylin made explosive plays along the defensive line throughout the 2022 season. His ability to utilize his size, strength and agility to create pressure and follow through on tackles stood out week after week. I think he's going to make even more plays for us in 2023."
Swan produced 12 games last season with multiple tackles, including 8 games with 4+ tackles.
"We are excited to get Jaylin back. He's a very high energy defensive end that has tremendous upside year 2. This young man is a workhorse and we are looking forward to see him work in training camp. " said Steamwheelers Head Coach Cory Ross.
