Fighters Re-Sign Defensive Lineman Zaycoven Henderson

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco Fighters and head coach Billy Back announce that defensive lineman Zaycoven Henderson has re-signed for the 2023 season.

The 6-foot-2, 305 pound defensive lineman returns to the Fighters for his second consecutive season. Prior to playing for the Fighters, Henderson played at Texas A&M from 2014-2017 in the SEC and started his professional career in the Canadian Football League with the Ottawa Redblacks.

The Longview, Texas native posted a season-high five tackles in his first career start at A&M against Louisiana State University his freshman year. Henderson started all 13 games of his junior year, recording 40 tackles with three QB sacks and ten tackles for loss. Senior year, Henderson set a new season-high with seven tackles. He finished his collegiate career in 2017 with 116 tackles, including 8.5 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss, while starting 26 of 47 games and participating in the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine in March. In January 2017 out of Texas A&M, Henderson signed a professional contract with the Ottawa Redblacks in the CFL.
