Fever Playoff Rally Tonight

INDIANAPOLIS - In anticipation of its seventh consecutive playoff season, after clinching the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed in the WNBA Playoffs, the Indiana Fever will conduct its 2011 Playoff Rally presented by Indiana Members Credit Union and Ivy Tech Community College on Monday, Sept. 12, from 5-7 p.m., at the Kroger Store in Nora (1365 E. 86th Street)
Fans will be greeted by Freddy Fever and Indiana Fever players. Cheer cards, fan interactives, ticket and prize giveaways and autograph signing by Fever players highlight the event. The Pacers Fan Van will be present with games and prizes. XFINITY(r) will involve its promotional vehicle, plus a remote control mascot and prizes. IMCU will provide cookies and a cash cube for fans to win free money! St. Francis will be on site with cholesterol and blood pressure screenings.
From 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., Fever players will include Jessica Davenport, Shyra Ely, Briann January and Erin Phillips. From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Fever players on hand will be Shannon Bobbitt, Katie Douglas, Tangela Smith and Shavonte Zellous.
Indiana will open its best-of-three game Eastern Conference Semifinal series on Sept. 15 or 16 at Conseco Fieldhouse. The Fever's opponent, the East's No. 4 seed, will host Game 2 of the series, Sept. 17 or 18. If necessary, Game 3 will be played in Indianapolis, Sept. 19 or 20. Likewise, if Indiana advances past the first round, the Fever would host Games 1 and 3 of the best-of-three game Eastern Conference Finals. Eastern Conference Finals dates are Sept. 22, 25 and 27. WNBA Finals games begin Sunday, Oct. 2, launching a best-of-five game series between playoff champions from the East and West.
The 2011 Fever Playoffs are presented by Indiana Members Credit Union and Ivy Tech Community College. Final pairings, dates and times will not be determined until the conclusion of the regular season, Sept. 11. The Fever is an eight-time playoff participant including a trip to the WNBA Finals in 2009.
Tickets for the Eastern Conference Semifinals are on sale now at FeverBasketball.com, the Conseco Fieldhouse Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling (800) 745-3000. Indiana's first home playoff game includes a family special with tickets beginning at $10 that require a minimum purchase of two tickets.
A WNBA playoff participant in seven straight seasons and eight times since 2002, the Eastern Conference-leading Indiana Fever concludes its 12th regular season by hosting Fan and Military Appreciation Night presented by WGU Indiana, in association with The Marines, on Sunday, September 11 vs. the Atlanta Dream (5:00 p.m.). The first 3,000 fans will receive an American flag and a special Tamika Catchings commemorative poster. Be sure to stay after the game for special Fever player fan interaction.
