Silver Stars Notes

WNBA PLAYOFFS: The Silver Stars will face the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx in a best-of-three Western Conference semifinal matchup. San Antonio is making its fifth-consecutive playoff appearance, while the Lynx have qualified for postseason play for the first time since 2004.

Minnesota leads the all-time series between the two teams, 18-30, including a 5-20 advantage in games played at the Target Center ... The two teams have never met in the WNBA playoffs.

PLAYOFF TICKETS AVAILABLE: The San Antonio Silver Stars host the Minnesota Lynx in the second game of the Western Conference semifinal matchup on Sunday, September 18 at the AT&T Center. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. with lower level tickets starting at $11. Tickets can be purchased at the AT&T Center Southeast Box Office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. or on weekend event days starting at 10 a.m., by calling 210-444-5090 or online at SASilverStars.com.

ROAD WARRIORS: San Antonio finished the 2011 regular season in elite company, as one of only three WNBA teams with a winning road record. With its 102-94 overtime victory at Tulsa, the Silver Stars finished with a 9-8 record away from the AT&T Center. It marked the fourth time in franchise history - along with 2008, 2007 and 2001 - that the team compiled a winning road record. Minnesota (13-4) and Atlanta (9-8) were the only other teams that finished the regular- season above .500 in away games.

HAMMON SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION: Head coach and general manager Dan Hughes announced prior to Saturday's game against Washington that guard Becky Hammon has signed a multi-year contract extension with San Antonio. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Player Spotlight

Guard Danielle Robinson set a franchise rookie record with 36 points in the 102-94 win at Tulsa on Sunday night. Robinson was 14-of-19 from the field and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe while adding six assists and four rebounds.

Robinson's 36 points were the most by a rookie this season and are four shy of the WNBA rookie record 40, set by Los Angeles' Candace Parker in 2008.

The Silver Stars selected Robinson out of the University of Oklahoma with the sixth overall pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft.

San Antonio and Minnesota meet in the second game of a best-of-three WNBA conference semifinal matchup. The Lynx have won both meetings between the teams at the AT&T Center this season.
