Indiana Fever News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever have teamed up with Chick-fil-A for a great partnership that will provide benefits to both organizations and most importantly, Fever fans.
This season, during the fourth quarter of every Fever home game, Chick-fil-A will sponsor the "4th Quarter FOWL-Up," where fans will be encouraged to cheer loudly when the opponent makes its first trip to the free-throw line for two shots in the last period. If the opponent misses both free throws, then all fans in attendance will win a Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit the next morning by simply bringing in their ticket stub to any of the 12 Central Indiana Chick-fil-A locations.
In addition to the "FOWL-Up" promo, Chick-fil-A will also serve as an Associate Sponsor of Dad's Night Out for the June 14 Fever home contest vs. Tulsa in which fans can register (at all area Chick-fil-A locations) to win two courtside tickets for that game.
"We are as equally excited about our prospects on the court this year for the Fever as we are with this new partnership with Chick-fil-A," said Pacers Sports & Entertainment president Jim Morris. "We appreciate the confidence our friends at Chick-fil-A have shown in our Fever."
As part of the partnership, Morris, along with Emmy Award winner WTHR-13 anchor Anne Marie Tiernon, will be the VIP Keynote Speakers at the 2011 Chick-fil-A Leadercast event to be held May 6 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.
"We at Chick-fil-A are excited about this partnership with the Fever, as well as the opportunity to work with Jim Morris for the Chick-fil-A Leadercast event this year in Indianapolis," said Chick-fil-A Sponsorships & Event Marketing Manager L.J. Yankosky. "We have an amazing line-up of speakers for the simulcast, but are especially looking forward to having Jim in person at the Indianapolis site talking about his leadership with the Pacers and Fever."
A WNBA playoff participant in six straight seasons and seven times since 2002, the Indiana Fever begins its 12th season by hosting the Chicago Sky on Saturday, June 4 (7:00 p.m.). WNBA training camps open May 15. The Fever hosts the Minnesota Lynx for a preseason game on May 31 (7:00 p.m.) For single-game and season ticket information, visit FeverBasketball.com or call (317) 917-2500.
