Fetterman Tribute Night, Rally Towel Giveaway Highlight Upcoming Series

Pensacola Pelicans News Release


Pensacola begins a six-game home stand at Pelican Park beginning this Monday, July 24 through Saturday, July 29 versus the El Paso Diablos and the Fort Worth Cats.

The highlight of the home stand is on Saturday, July 29 when the Pelicans host "Vice-Admiral Jack Fetterman Tribute Night" honoring the late, great Pensacola leader. The first 2,000 fans will receive a commemorative Vice-Admiral Jack Fetterman t-shirt listing many of his greatest accomplishments sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union, Independent News, Magic 106 and Q100.

Friday night will feature literacy awareness and a Pelicans Rally Towel giveaway sponsored by WEAR TV-3 and Buffalo Rock Pepsi. Donations will be taken throughout the night for First Book Pensacola, a literacy program that raises money to purchase approved new books for failing schools. See your favorite storybook character at Pelican Park to make your donation.

Also Friday night and for the first time in Pensacola baseball history, the game will be televised LIVE on Cox Sports Television (Cox digital cable channel 319) as the Pelicans play the Fort Worth Cats at 6:35 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a sign to the game to catch the camera's eye. This will be the first of three games televised this season. Fans may purchase the "TV Package" which gets them a ticket to each of the televised games for only $18.

The Pelicans begin the home stand vs. the El Paso Diablos on Monday, July 24 at 6:35 p.m. for the first of a three-game series. Fort Worth then comes to town for three games to wrap up the home stand. The rest of the week's promotions are listed below.

Monday, July 24 @ 6:35 vs. El Paso - Faith Night
Tuesday, July 25 @ 6:35 vs. El Paso - Tuesday Madness: a ticket, all you can eat pizza and all you can drink Pepsi for only $12. Substitute beer for only $15. Tuesday Madness lasts from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 26 @ 6:35 vs. El Paso - Family Night: 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 Pepsis, 4 bingo cards and 4 Pelicans Fan Cards for only $24
Thursday, July 27 @ 6:35 vs. Fort Worth - Thirsty Thursday: $1 draft beer all night long

Fans will be able to get autographs of their favorite Pelicans player after every home game. There are kid's activities at the Kids Club area sponsored by Covenant Hospice at every home game plus a face-painter will be on-hand decorating the faces at Pelican Park.

Ticket prices are $9 for premium seats, $8 for grandstand reserve, $7 for general admission, $6 for senior, military and students, and children 4 and under get in free.
