Saskatoon Blades News Release

On Saturday, February 21st, the Saskatoon Blades and Canadian Cancer Society will be teaming up to support a worthy cause. The Blades will be wearing special edition jerseys with a breast cancer theme. The game worn jerseys will be auctioned off on the concourse level at the Credit Union Centre during the game between the Saskatoon Blades and Kootenay Ice. All proceeds from the jersey auction, as well as $1 from every walk up ticket will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. Please come out to the game and support the Canadian Cancer Society and their quest to help find a cure.

"The members of the Saskatoon Blades Organization including the players, office personnel, coaches and owners are all leaders in our community" commented Dean Butcher, Manager of the Saskatoon Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society. "The players especially are the leaders of tomorrow and the Blades Organization is stepping up to help others in the community. The Canadian Cancer Society is excited to be partners with the Blades once again to assist those on a cancer journey and to find a cure".
