FC Dallas (0-0-0, 0 points) opens its 2020 MLS season against the Philadelphia Union (0-0-0, 0 points) on Saturday, February 29 at 5PM CT at Toyota Stadium in a match presented by AdvoCare. The game is the only meeting between the clubs this season.

Home Openers
The February 29th opener marks the earliest that Dallas has ever kicked off the regular season. Dallas is 12-4-8 all-time in season openers and 13-4-7 in home openers with 10-match unbeaten streak. At Toyota Stadium, Dallas is 8-1-5 in home openers.
Familiar Faces for Fafa
FC Dallas winger Fafa Picault will be up against familiar faces should he make his Dallas debut on Saturday. Picault joined FCD this offseason after spending three seasons with the Union, playing 89 games and scoring 21 goals. He'll compete with Santiago Mosquera for a start at left wing, as both have spent time at the position during preseason.
100 for Jesse
Homegrown goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez is scheduled to make his 100th MLS start in Saturday's match. Gonzalez started a career-high 32 matches in 2019 and make a career-high 84 regular season saves. Gonzalez made his MLS debut on August 22, 2015 against the Whitecaps in Vancouver.
Against Philadelphia
Historically, FC Dallas has had the upper hand against the Union. Dallas is 6-2-4 all-time in matches with Philly and is undefeated against them at Toyota Stadium (5-0-1). Last year, however, Dallas fell 2-1 to the Union in Philadelphia with Reto Ziegler scoring their lone goal from a free kick.
About Philadelphia
Last season, Philly reached the Eastern Conference Semifinals where they were defeated 2-0 by Atlanta United. The Union finished in third place over the regular season with 55 points (16-11-7), the club's best-ever points total. This preseason, the club earned three wins and three losses, including a 3-2 defeat to FC Dallas on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
