FCC's Lasso Earns Spot on USL Team of the Week

CINCINNATI - FC Cincinnati center back Forrest Lasso has been voted to the United Soccer League's Team of the Week for Week 13 after a standout effort against his hometown North Carolina FC on Saturday in the Orange and Blue's 2-0 road win.

The Raleigh, North Carolina, native backed the Orange and Blue's defense that posted its fourth shutout of the season and first since April 28. In the effort, Lasso collected team-highs in clearances (11) and blocks (3) and also added two interceptions and three possessions gained.

This is Lasso's first USL Team of the Week honor for the 2018 season and his fourth in the last two seasons.

First-place FC Cincinnati (8-3-2, 26 pts.) returns to the field for two games this week, both at Nippert Stadium. On Wednesday, the team will host eighth-place Bethlehem Steel FC at 7:30 p.m. in Equality Night. On Saturday, June 16, FCC will welcome the Richmond Kickers to the Queen City for a 7:30 p.m. game.
