Real Monarchs SLC Travel to Kansas City to Face Swope Park Rangers

HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs SLC (10-2-1, 31 points, 1 West) travel to Kansas City for a mid-week battle with Swope Park Rangers on Wednesday, June 13 at Children's Mercy Park. Kick off is set for 6:30 p.m. MT as the Utah club looks to extend its lead atop the United Soccer League standings and remain undefeated all-time against Swope Park, currently holding 3-0-1 record over Wednesday's hosts.

The Monarchs and Swope Park have played against one another on one occasion in 2018, a 4-1 victory in favor of the Monarchs in early-May. Two goals from DF Kalen Ryden helped lead the Utah club before a strike from FW Juan Ignacio Mare and a Swope own goal finalized the score at Zions Bank Stadium. The last outing against Swope Park saw the Monarchs claim its second four-goal game of the season as well as the second time Ryden notched two goals in a match for the Monarchs in 2018.

The league-leading Monarchs currently carry a two-match shutout streak as it looks to extend its run of defensive form. Holding six shutouts to its name thus far in 2018, GK Jake Leeker & Co. have earned four shutouts in its last five outings. Additionally, the club has only conceded on ten occasions having scored 23 goals for a league-best goal differential of +13.
