Fresno FC News Release
FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno Football Club has announced the loan signing of goalkeeper C.J. Cochran from Nashville SC, pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, details of the loan agreement were not disclosed. Cochran, 27, is expected to add depth to the goalkeeping ranks for Los Zorros, after spending the 2016 & 2017 USL seasons with Oklahoma City Energy FC. The Georgia native signed with fellow USL newcomers Nashville ahead of the 2018 season. Cochran will wear the No. 1 shirt for the Foxes.
"We're delighted to add C.J. on loan from Nashville," said general manager Frank Yallop. "He's a young, steady and competent keeper that will complement our team well."
Cochran made 9 starts in 10 appearances for Energy FC in 2017, tallying four clean sheets in the process. Additionally, the Georgia State alum was pivotal in helping the Oklahoma side to a berth in the 2017 Western Conference Final as a No. 6 seed. Prior to his time with Energy FC, Cochran spent the 2015 season with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the NPSL, starting in all 8 matches and garnering one National Cup appearance.
