Ryan Hollingshead
May 14 was the two-year anniversary of the return of utility man Ryan Hollingshead from a life-threatening accident. Early in 2017, Hollingshead was struck by a vehicle while he provided assistance to another driver. The injury and recommended surgery nearly ended his career, but he made a miraculous recovery and returned to the field against New York City on May 14, 2017. You can read more about Hollingshead's injury and recovery HERE.
U-23 World Cup Representation
Dallas will be well represented at the 2019 U20 FIFA World Cup in Poland with Edwin Cerrillo, Paxton Pomykal and Brandon Servania all having been called up by U-20 head coach Tab Ramos. The US men open group play against the Ukraine on Friday, May 24 and take on Nigeria on Monday, May 27.
Against LA
LA's first season in MLS was 2018. Dallas has gotten the better of LA in the two games they've played against each other. D took home a point in its only trip to Banc of California Stadium in a 1-1 draw last May and took all three points when LA visited Frisco in June in a 2-1 win.
About LA
Los Angeles started the season in red-hot form earning six wins and one draw in its first seven games. LA has recorded two draws and one win in its last three games- including a 0-0 tie with Chicago Fire.
