
FC Dallas to Participate in Newly Formed Preseason Competition Named "La Copita"

FRISCO, TX - FC Dallas will face Austin FC, Houston Dynamo FC and USL Championship side San Antonio FC in the inaugural edition of "La Copita", a newly formed preseason tournament that will kick off ahead of the Major League Soccer and United Soccer League 2021 seasons.
FC Dallas will participate in four preseason matches starting on Saturday, March 27 against San Antonio FC at 1PM CT at Toyota Field. FC Dallas will then host San Antonio FC on Friday, April 2 at 11AM CT and Austin FC on Wednesday, April 7 at 4PM CT at Toyota Stadium. FC Dallas' final tournament match will be against its Texas Derby rival Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday, April 10 at 4PM CT at BBVA Stadium.
The matchups against San Antonio (4/2), Austin FC (4/7) and Houston Dynamo FC (4/10) will count towards the tournament for FC Dallas, while the first San Antonio match will only count for the USL Championship side.
In addition to the three Texas-based MLS clubs and San Antonio FC, OKC Energy will also take part in one La Copita match on Tuesday, April 6 against Houston Dynamo FC.
FC Dallas' home match against San Antonio FC will be played behind closed doors. Limited tickets to the FC Dallas match on April 7 against Austin FC will go on sale to the public at a later date. FC Dallas Season Ticket Members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in an advanced pre-sale opportunity with more information to come in the upcoming days.
FC Dallas fans will also have the opportunity to watch FC Dallas' match against Austin FC on FCDallas.com/Stream. The stream will only be available for viewers in the Dallas-Fort Worth viewing area.
