FC Dallas News Release
FRISCO, Texas (Thursday, April 23) - It's been a busy 2015 for the FC Dallas partnership marketing team and as a result, fans may have noticed a few changes around Toyota Stadium and beyond.
The club finished first in Major League Soccer in overall sponsorship revenue growth from 2012 to 2014. The club's biggest partners (AdvoCare and Toyota) have strong Texas ties and all of its relationships are actively involved in the growth of Major League Soccer and FC Dallas. Some of the latest partner-assisted upgrades at FC Dallas are detailed below.
2015 Broadcast Partners
The new television deal with TXA 21 has brought FC Dallas into 2.6 million households around the MetroPlex and will be expanding, beginning in May, to include a 30-minute magazine show hosted by Gina Miller and presented by Toyota. Meanwhile Univision Radio (1270 AM) and Salem Communications (100.7 FM) are still the home of FC Dallas radio broadcasts in Spanish and English, respectively. Carlos Alvarado and Rafa Calderon also host a weekly radio show on ESPN Deportes called "Futbol Al Dia" and ESPN Radio continues to host the popular Soccer Today presented by Toyota with hosts Marc Stein and Steve Davis on 103.3 FM Sunday mornings. On Saturdays, fans can also tune in to The KickAround presented by FC Dallas and hosted by Andy Swift and Peter Welpton on 1310 The Ticket.
Around Toyota Stadium
Perhaps the most exciting addition to the stadium in 2015 are the new fully animated digital field boards. The largest in Major League Soccer at 40 inches tall and 540 feet wide, the field boards are from new partner Absen. Also noticeable has been the expanded Budweiser Beer Garden with 200 new seats making a total of 650 seats in the wildly popular 21-and-up area on game days. Just west of the Budweiser Beer Garden, newest signature partner Elephant Insurance has added special VIP seating, dubbed the Peanut Gallery, as well as a giant frame on the South Concourse for fans' game day photo ops. Moving up to the Northwest Concourse, the MoneyGram Sports Desk delivers live reports from gates until kick from the El Jimador Cantina.
Meanwhile, on the food and beverage side, Dr Pepper Snapple Group extended its partnership, while the club also welcomed five new beverage partners in Mexican Import Beer Montejo, Paloma (El Jimador Tequila and Squirt), Trinchero Family Estates and Sutter Home wine, Robust Energy Drink and the specialty craft brew Raise Your Red Ale through Anheuser Busch. The popular Raising Cane's Challenge is also back with two-for-one specials after FC Dallas scores a goal at Toyota Stadium as Cane's is now the team's official chicken partner.
Inside the Locker Room and on the Pitch
On a night that saw Fabian Castillo score the fastest MLS goal in FC Dallas history and severe weather turned a Saturday night match into a Sunday morning win, the home side unveiled its new AdvoCare secondary kit to rave reviews. The Dallas shirt partner also expanded its partnership to a league-wide deal and has replaced Gatorade on Major League Soccer sidelines with AdvoCare coolers and hydration. Inside the locker room, AdvoCare has built an AdvoCare Nutrition Station, catering to all the players' nutritional needs before, during and after practices and games. Next to the nutrition area is a new Recovery Pump Recovery Lab to help players recover quickly from one match to the next.
In the Community
The FC Dallas Foundation's annual Cocktails and Cleats, presented by Chase, has been scheduled for June 24 with Chase donating 350 soccer balls to local Boys and Girls Clubs and similar organizations across the Metroplex. Toyota is also providing five boys and five girls with the opportunity to participate in the FC Dallas summer residential youth camps through scholarships. In March, Chase hosted 50 children from Cancer Cares Services in a special clinic, VIP stadium tour, lunch and tickets to an FC Dallas game. Meanwhile, the FC Dallas Footy 5K and Fun Run presented by Vazata has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 11 at 8am at Toyota Stadium. All proceeds benefit the FC Dallas Foundation and the American Diabetes Association. Race website for more detail is http://fcdallas.itsyourrace.com
