FC Dallas Homegrown Striker Jesús Ferreira Named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Matchday for Matchday 2

FRISCO, Texas -FC Dallas Homegrown Jesús Ferreira has been named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Matchday presented by Audi for Matchday 2 after scoring two goals in FC Dallas' comeback 3-1 win against LA Galaxy on Saturday night. This is Ferreira's first Team of the Matchday appearance this season and 13th of his career (including Team of the Week honors) since 2019.

Ferreira, 22, scored his first two goals of the 2023 season during the 56th and 64th minutes in front of a sold-out crowd. The brace was his seventh multi-goal game in his MLS career. He is now third in FC Dallas' all-time goal scorers with 38 goals in 116 games.

Pomykal, 22, earns a spot of the Team of the Matchday bench for Matchday 2 after providing one assist and one key pass, having an 84% passing accuracy, five tackles and two clearances, winning 61% of his duels and gaining eight possessions in 80 minutes played.

This is the first time in 2023 FC Dallas players have earned MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Matchday honors.
