Farynuk Returns For All-Star Game

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, has announced defenseman Brad Farynuk (FAR-nick) has been reassigned to the Thunder from Springfield.

In 28 games with the Thunder this season, the Thunder captain has three goals and 12 assists for 15 points and is third among all team defensemen in scoring. Scheduled to participate in the Rbk Hockey Hardest Shot Competition at the 2008 ECHL All-Star Skills Competition tonight at Stockton Arena (7:05 p.m.), Farynuk has been recalled by the Falcons on four occasions this season and the Enderby, British Columbia native has played in four games with Springfield this year not registering a point.

Host of the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game and festivities on Jan. 22 and 23, the Thunder has led the ECHL in attendance for two consecutive seasons and drew 244,085 fans to Stockton Arena in 2006-07.
