Bombers' Beaudoin and Tifu Show Their Skills in 2008 ECHL All-Star Game

Dayton, OH- Dayton Bombers forwards Yannick Tifu and Matt Beaudoin are set to appear tonight at the ECHL Skills Competition in preparation for the ECHL All-Star Game tomorrow.

Tifu, the Bombers leading scorer, has been selected to participate in two competitions. He was chosen as the American Conference representative in the one-on-one Puck Control Relay against Oren Eizenman of the National Conference. Tifu will also participate in the Breakaway Relay.

Bombers leading rookie, Matt Beaudoin, is one of four American Conference competitors in the Hardest Shot contest and one of three shooters in the Accuracy Shooting competition.

This is the first All-Star appearance for Tifu and Beaudoin, both 23.

The Skills Competition leads into Wednesday night's All-Star Game. Tifu will start for the American Conference All-Stars. He currently leads the ECHL in scoring (52 pts.), assists (40) and power play points. Beaudoin is third in ECHL goals and has led his fellow rookies in many other areas this season. He leads all first year players in goals, points, power play goals and power play points.

The competition will take place at 10:05 p.m. EST at the Stockton Arena, in Stockton, California. The Skills Competition will be shown free of charge on the B2 Network, the "Official Broadband Broadcast Provider of the ECHL." The All-Star Game will also be shown free of charge on B2 Networks as well as on the NHL Network television channel.

Game worn jerseys and game-used pucks from the All-Star Game and Skills Competition will be auctioned online at MeiGray.com.

The Bombers will return from the All-Star break Friday Jan. 25 at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Johnstown Chiefs. Each child 12 and under will get a free Silver Level ticket with the purchase of an adult Silver Level ticket.

There will be an autograph signing immediately following the game with #3 Britt Dougherty and #24 Taylor Christie outside of the Bombers locker room.
