Montreal Alouettes News Release
Montreal, June 15, 2005 - The Montreal Alouettes will be playing their 10th season since the team returned to the Canadian Football League in 1996. To celebrate the last decade of resurgence of professional football in Montreal, the organization will give the fans the opportunity to select their own All-Star team among the players who have worn an Alouettes' uniform over the last 10 years.
The organization will also honour all Alouettes' season ticket holders who have been with the team since 1996. In addition, those loyal customers will have a special input in selecting the 1996-2005 All-Star team. Season ticket holders, the general public and the media will also have the opportunity to vote.
The Alouettes' Team of the Decade will be introduced this Oct. 22 at Olympic Stadium - the same place where it all started on June 27, 1996.
