New York City FC News Release
The Empire State Building will celebrate the New York Derby match between New York City FC (NYCFC) and the New York Red Bulls (RBNY) by illuminating its world-famous tower lights in NYCFC blue or RBNY red on Saturday, June 27. Windows will power this opportunity, giving fans chances to have their say and vote for the Club they support online, through social media and at a series of soccer events throughout New York / New Jersey. The night prior to their first-ever New York Derby match at Yankee Stadium, the Empire State Building will shine in the color of the Club most New Yorkers are supporting.
The match is set for Yankee Stadium on Sunday, June 28 at 5:00 p.m. ET and will be televised live on ESPN.
