Tulsa Oilers News Release

Fans who have wondered what it is like to be part of the show in the magnificent new BOK center can get a little taste of Sunday afternoon following the Oilers game with the Wichita Thunder.

The Oilers and Wichita face off in a 4 p.m. Central Hockey League contest, and following the game, fans will be able to skate on the BOK Center ice with the Oilers. There is no charge for the skating session, and skates are available to rent for $2 a pair. Fans who have their own ice skates are encouraged to bring them.

"We think this will be a very exciting element to our fans' experience," Oilers general manager Taylor Hall said. "Everyone's fallen in love with the building so we're glad to give them the chance to actually skate on the ice and participate like this."

Sunday's game is the Oilers Family Day which will feature a number of pregame activities geared toward kids and families. It is one of four scheduled family four pack days offering four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for only $59. The other four pack days currently on the schedule are Friday Nov. 21 vs. Mississippi at 7:35 p.m.; Friday Nov. 28 vs. Wichita at 7:35 p.m. and Saturday November 29 vs. Odessa at 7:35 p.m.
