Fans Break Season Attendance Record

THANK YOU FANS for breaking the Pelicans season attendance record. Last night, 1,013 Pelicans fans attended the game versus the Shreveport Sports which moved the 2006 season total to 70,884 which surpassed the 2005 record of 70,855. The Pelicans still have three games remaining this season to set the attendance record even higher.

So come out to Pelican Park and help make franchise history tonight, Firday and Saturday.

PELICANS FALL BASEBALL LEAGUE

The Pensacola Pelicans are pleased to announce the start of the first-ever Pelicans Fall Baseball League in Pensacola. The league will run through the months of September and October and end with an end-of-the season tournament to wrap-up the inaugural league.

Try-outs are set for Saturday, Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 3 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Pelican Park at the University of West Florida.

All high school baseball players are welcome to play. No one will be turned away and all players will get their opportunity to play.

Pelicans players and former University of West Florida players will be the coaches and instructors of the teams.
