June 10, 2019 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
CHARLESTON, W. Va. - The 2019 South Atlantic League All-Star Week festivities continue Monday evening at Haddad Riverfront Park and the Steptoe & Johnson Plaza with FanFest and the Festiv-ALL Star Concert, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The FanFest and concert are free for all fans who wish to attend, with special VIP options available for South Atlantic League players, front office staff members and guests.
At 5:30 p.m., fans can line up to receive autographs from the 2019 South Atlantic League All-Stars. All fans in attendance will receive an exclusive 2019 All-Star Game poster that the players will be signing. Fans are allowed to bring additional items for the players to sign, but are asked to limit them to one or two items per player so the lines can keep moving freely. The Power will also have merchandise available for purchase at FanFest that fans can get signed by the players.
Media members will be permitted a 10-minute interview window with the South Atlantic League All-Stars and Coaches following the Autograph Session. Any interview requests should be submitted to David Kahn at dkahn@wvpower.com or Kyle Youmans at kyoumans@wvpower.com by June 14.
The Festiv-ALL Star Concert, presented by the City of Charleston, FestivALL and the Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau, will kick off at 7 p.m., as West Virginia's own, the Davisson Brothers Band, performs live on the Schoenbaum Stage overlooking the banks of the Kanawha River. Hailed as one of Rolling Stone Country's "10 New Country Artists You Need To Know", the Davisson Brothers Band features classic Rock 'n' Roll tunes with messages revolving around family, self-determination and satisfaction in a job well done.
The 60th annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game, presented by Segra, is set for a 7:35 p.m. first pitch at Appalachian Power Park. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for the WOWK Tailgate Party, and the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive an All-Star Game-branded tumbler, courtesy of Segra. The Home Run Derby commences at 6 p.m.
Catch all the action of the 2019 SAL Midsummer Classic on The Jock 1300 and 1340 AM, as well as online at wvpower.com and via the TuneIn Radio App by searching "West Virginia Power Baseball Network" and the MiLB First Pitch App. Pregame coverage begins at 7:15 p.m. EST, with David Kahn and Kyle Youmans on the call.
