Fan will win helicopter ride at Friday's game

A lucky fan will enjoy some added excitement at Applebee's Park Friday night when the Lexington Legends take on the Greenville Drive.

Lexington police officer "Officer Don" Edwards, known for his broadcast coverage of Lexington traffic from the air, will provide a free helicopter ride after the game for the fan whose name is drawn from those who register at the game. The ride is sponsored by S&S Tire, and registration will take place before the game at the S&S Tire tent at Applebee's Park.

"This was one of the best, if not the best new promotion we had during the 2008 season," said Legends general manager Andy Shea. "We simply had to do it again this year. I'm looking forward to another one-of-a-kind experience for one of our lucky fans!"

Officer Don and the winning fan will be in the air during the ADI Fireworks show.
