KANNAPOLIS, NC - Jon Gilmore's two-RBI single capped off a five-run ninth inning and handed the Intimidators a 7-6 walkoff win over the West Virginia Power on Wednesday night at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.

Kannapolis used four hits and two walks to come back from four runs down for their third straight win. The Intimidators had just three hits coming into the ninth inning, before Justin Greene, Drew Garcia and Tyler Kuhn all singled off of closer Eddie Pena (1-3). Seth Loman picked up an RBI with a sacrifice fly off of Owen Brolsma before Gilmore singled to leftfield to score Kuhn and Sergio Morales.

The Power (20-33) pitching staff combined to walk ten batters in the game, including seven from starter Duke Welker. Welker did not allow a hit in four innings, but walked a season-high seven and gave up two earned runs.

Intimidators starter Greg Infante was the better of the two starters, but was in line to take the loss before the late comeback. Infante went seven innings and gave up five runs, four earned, on eight hits. He also struck out eight and did not walk a batter.

Garrett Johnson (2-3) took the win for the Intimidators (27-26) by pitching a perfect top of the ninth.

Calvin Anderson and Erik Huber each had three hits for the Power in the losing effort. West Virginia led from the second inning through the ninth, scoring three runs off of Infante in the second to take a 3-2 lead. Bobby Spain had two RBIs in the game.
