Rome, GA -The Augusta GreenJackets defeated the Rome Braves 5-0 Wednesday night in front of 2,226 fans at State Mutual Stadium to even the four games series at a game a piece.

Augusta took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI double by Josh Mazzola. As it turned out, that's the only run they would need. In the seventh the GreenJackets added four insurance runs as Dom Duggan scored from third on a sacrifice fly by Ehire Adrianza. Johnny Monell then scored on an RBI double by Charlie Culberson, who later came around to cross the plate on Wendell Fairley's RBI single. The final run of the inning scored on an RBI double by Mike Loberg.

Mike Loree (2-4) got the win for Augusta, while Jacob Thompson (2-5) was the loser for Rome.
