Fan Appreciation Weekend Finalizes the Regular Season

FORT WORTH --The last series of the 2012 regular season begins Friday night as the playoff bound Fort Worth Cats prepare for their postseason run by hosting the San Angelo Colts. Fan Appreciation Weekend and Police and Firefighters Night will wrap up a successful regular season for the Cats.
There will be many deals and giveaways throughout the weekend at LaGrave Field. Draft beer, fountain drinks and hot dogs will be discounted to just two dollars. Balls and hats autographed by the team will be given out throughout the games, as well as ticket vouchers for next season and dugout suite vouchers. A raffle will take place on Friday night, with the winner getting a bicycle to take home.
Season ticket holders will get to have an unforgettable afternoon as they take batting practice on the field with manager Curtis Wilkerson and pitching coach Steve Maddock. Saturday night is also Police and Firefighters Night, as local heroes will be honored all evening. A pregame softball game between the police and firefighters from Tarrant County will take place that fans are encouraged to arrive early to attend. All families of police and firefighters can purchase tickets to Saturday's game between Fort Worth and San Angelo for just five dollars. First pitch is at 7:05, and the softball game begins at 5:30.
Sunday, September 2 will consist of two seven-inning games in the last doubleheader of 2012. The same great Fan Appreciation Weekend concession prices and ticket giveaways will take place, as well as an autographed jersey will be handed out to one lucky fan in between games.
The weekend will be a great way to celebrate another Fort Worth Cats season before the team begins their postseason run in attempt to win the United League in their first season as members. Tickets can be purchased online at FWCats.com or by phone at (817) 332-CATS.
