
Colts Acquire Infielder Gonzalez

San Angelo, Texas --- The Colts announced Thursday they have acquired infielder Danny Gonzalez from the Abilene Prairie Dogs in exchange for future considerations, and placed fellow infielder Mark Ramos on the Inactive List.
Gonzalez began this season with the Rockford RiverHawks of the independent Frontier League, and then went on to play most of the year in Abilene. Gonzalez hit .294 with 19 RBIs in 44 games with the Prairie Dogs.
In his Colts' debut last night, Gonzalez went 1-for-3 with a two-RBI single that scored the tying run and eventual winning run. He is batting .295 with 23 RBIs in 45 games between Abilene and San Angelo this year.
Now in his second professional season, Gonzalez has a .296 career batting average with 54 RBIs in 143 games.
Ramos goes on the Inactive List after signing with the Colts on August 3. He is batting .352 with 10 RBIs in 22 games since re-joining the Colts.
The Colts are a member of United League Baseball who are in their 13th season. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
