Fan Appreciation and Awards Night on Tap as Sens Battle Norfolk Saturday
March 27, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Binghamton Senators News Release
BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton Senators remind fans that Saturday, March 29, is Fan Appreciation Night at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena when the Norfolk Admirals make their final visit of the season against the Senators in a 7:05 p.m. faceoff. Following the game, fans are invited to remain for the annual on-ice Awards Night presentation honoring the accomplishments of this year's Binghamton Senators club.
All fans entering the Arena on Saturday will receive an autographed team picture. A number of the autographed team pictures will be specially stamped, making that fan eligible for one of the many door prizes to be awarded that night. The Senators are grateful to the generosity of many local businesses who have donated prizes for the night's activities. The New York State Lottery will also be on hand, giving away Mega Millions lottery tickets to the first 500 adults (18+) through the doors on Saturday.
The post-game awards presentation will include recognition for the Hans Petersen Lifetime Fan Appreciation Award, the 7th Player Award, the Rocco J. Testani Three Stars Award, the Best +/-, the Best Defensemen, the Best Defensive Forward, Community Service Man of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Most Valuable Player.
The renowned singing voice of Madison Square Garden's John Amirante will perform the Star Spangled Banner prior to Saturday's opening face-off. Amirante will be making his fourth appearance of the season at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Amirante was on hand for Opening Weekend, October 11th & 12th, in addition to bringing down the curtain on 2002 with a New Year's Eve appearance. With Amirante honoring America at the Arena this season, the Senators have posted a record of 2-1.
Tickets for Saturday night's game, and all remaining regular season games, are now on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets, the Arena box office, the Center Ice Team Shop at Metrocenter, or by calling the Sens Hotline at 722- SENS (7367). Additionally, 2003 Calder Cup playoff tickets and 2003-04 season tickets are now on sale at the Senators' executive offices on the third floor of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
