Fresno Falcons News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons had their 2006-2007 season come to an end on Thursday night as they fell to the Bakersfield Condors 4-0 in game six of their National Conference Quarterfinal Playoff Series in front of 6,380 fans at Rabobank Arena.

Fresno's penalty killers were busy early in the game, as Bakersfield was awarded four power-play opportunities in the first 13:36 of the first period. The Falcons were able to kill off each of the man-advantage to keep the game scoreless.

Bakersfield broke the scoreless deadlock 15:30 into the first period. David Kudelka skated into the Fresno zone, taking a long wrist shot from just inside the blue line. Ryan MacDonald made the save, but he was unable to corral it, as the shot rolled behind him and into the net, giving Kudelka his third goal of the series.

The Condors stretched the lead to 2-0 at 18:08 of the second period with a shorthanded goal. Andrew Ianiero raced into the Fresno zone, and beat MacDonald with a low shot from the left-wing circle for his fifth goal of the playoffs.

Alexandre Bolduc scored his second goal of the playoffs 2:22 into the final period, sending a shot to the net from the left-wing circle that eluded MacDonald's reach, giving the Condors a 3-0 advantage.

Reagan Leslie set the final for Bakersfield, gathering in a loose puck at the hash marks, and flipping a shot beyond MacDonald's reach.
