Falcons Recall Three From Johnstown

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that forwards Radek Smolenak, Stanislav Lascek and defenseman P.J. Atherton have been recalled from their ECHL affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs.
This will be Atherton's first recall to Springfield this season after collecting four goals and 22 assists for 26 points and 46 penalty minutes in 49 games with the Chiefs. Atherton is currently tied for the Johnstown team lead in scoring among defensemen with Doug Andress.
Smolenak has split this season between Springfield and Johnstown. In 32 games with the Chiefs, Smolenak has collected 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points. In 14 games with the Falcons, he hasn't registered a point. The 6-foot-3, 204-pound native of Prague, Czech Republic started the 2006-07 season in Falcons training camp after scoring 42 goals in 65 games with Kingston of the Ontario Hockey League last year.
Lascek has played in 26 games with the Falcons this year collecting two goals and two assists for four points. In 25 games with the Chiefs, Lascek has registered 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points. The 6-foot, 195-pound native of Martin, Slovakia was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round (133rd overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
