Falcons Ink Two Forwards

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that the team has signed forwards Jason Bloomingburg and Matt Radoslovich for the 2007-2008 season.

Bloomingburg enters his first full professional season after appearing in six games with the Alaska Aces at the end of last season. The 24-year-old concluded his collegiate career last season at Wayne State University, serving as a co-captain, while also being named to the College Hockey All-Academic Team. During the 2004-2005 season, Bloomingburg set a new school record for goals in a season with 20. Overall in 123 collegiate games, he tallied 44 goals and added 33 assists for 77 points.

"Jason comes highly recommended as a player capable of scoring goals at any level," Falcons Head Coach and General Manager Matt Thomas said. "He will be an exciting addition to our team this year."

The 2007-2008 season marks Radoslovich's third pro campaign, and his first in the ECHL. The 24-year-old has spent each of first two seasons in the United Hockey League with the Quad City Mallards, where he registered 78 points in 149 games. In his rookie season of 2005-2006, Radoslovich notched 23 goals, which was good enough for third on the team. Prior to turning pro, Radoslovich played four seasons of college hockey at Boston University, appearing in 123 games, and tallying 29 points.

"It was hard to find a negative thing about Matt and his game," Thomas said. "He is in the mold of a Rob McFeeters, a player who does all the little things extremely well and will contribute in every possible way he can. Being a third-year pro, Matt will give us some added experience up front."

The Fresno Falcons open the 2007-2008 season on Friday, October 19 at Save Mart Center against the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7:30 p.m., presented by Eye Q Vision Care.
