
Falcons Double Up RoadRunners 4-2 for Sixth Straight at Home

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons won their sixth straight home game on Tuesday, defeating the Phoenix RoadRunners 4-2 in front of 3,084 fans at Save Mart Center.
Matt Quinn scored the lone goal of the first period to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead through 20 minutes of play. Quinn took an outlet pass from Kenny Bernard, skated into the Phoenix zone, and beat goaltender Cody Rudkowsky with a wrist shot from the right-wing circle for his sixth goal of the season.
Matt Stefanishion doubled Fresno's lead to 2-0 2:48 into the second period, taking a shot from the corner which deflected off of a Phoenix skate and past Rudkowsky.
The Falcons took a 3-0 lead at 6:03 as Tyler Kindle skated in on a 2-on-1, and blasted a shot past Rudkowsky from the right-wing circle.
Phoenix got on the board at 7:11 as Peder Skinner skated into the Fresno zone and beat Jake Moreland with a long shot from just inside the blue line for his 12th goal of the season.
But, the Falcons got the goal right back just eight seconds later. Oren Eizenman moved the puck ahead to Luke Curtin skating into the Phoenix zone, and Curtin beat Rudkowsky with a long wrist shot from the left-wing side for his fifth goal of the year.
Skinner added his second of the night at the 17:13 mark of the third period, sliding a shot past Moreland from the far post to set the final.
Moreland finished with 28 saves to improve to 13-4-2 on the season, and 7-1-1 in his last eight starts.
Fresno is back in action on Friday, traveling to Las Vegas for a 7:05 p.m. face-off against the Wranglers. Catch all of the action on 790 ESPN Radio, The Deuce, starting with the Port of Subs Pre-Game Show at 6:45.
The Falcons return home on Saturday, hosting Las Vegas at 7:30 p.m. It's the first-ever "Read at the Rink," presented by Little Caesar's and the Fresno County Bar Association. All fans are encouraged to donate a book to the Central Valley Book Bank, as well as take advantage of the opportunity to learn more about literacy-based organizations in the area. The first 1,500 fans in attendance receive a long-sleeve t-shirt courtesy of Little Caesar's and Alpha Designs of Hanford. Following the game, join the Falcons for a post-game party at Logan's Roadhouse, located at 7507 N. Blackstone, across from River Park.
