RoadRunners Need Your Help To Mash Idaho This Weekend

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and Worcester Sharks, have announced that the organization will be hosting a two-day potato drive at home games Friday and Saturday against the Idaho Steelheads.

Fans attending either game are encouraged to bring potatoes to donate to the St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, which will be set-up on the main concourse.

In addition, fans can submit their best or most outrageous potato recipes to the RoadRunners' Potato Contest at www.myspace.com/phoenixroadrunnershockey for a chance to win the official "Mash Idaho Weekend" RoadRunners' potato masher.

The RoadRunners will host a pre and post-game concert Saturday on the Bud Light Paseo featuring the local bands Wavorly, Transistor Radio, and A Current Affair.

Face-off for both games Friday and Saturday is at 7:11 p.m.

Phoenix concludes its season-long 12-game road trip at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday against the Fresno Falcons from the Save Mart Center. Catch all the action live on Independent 1310 KXAM beginning with "RoadRunners Countdown" at 7:45 p.m.

The RoadRunners return to US Airways Center at 7:11 p.m. Wednesday when the open a five-game home-stand with the Las Vegas Wranglers.
