BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves scored seven consecutive goals then survived a five-goal third period offensive onslaught from the Pensacola Ice Pilots to win 8-5 at the Pensacola Civic Center on Tuesday.
Mississippi got out to a 1-0 lead when Mark Hurtubise won a faceoff in the neutral zone to Lance Monych, who broke in over the blueline and fired the puck past Ice Pilots goalie Cam Ellsworth for his 19th goal of the season at the 7:20 mark of the first period. Pat Oliveto broke in two-on-one with Mark Hurtubise and fired the forward's feed past Ellsworth at 9:48.
