Extra Inning No Friend

August 15, 2018 - Southern League (SL1)
Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

Extra inning games under the new rule this season has not been a friend of the Lookouts. Looks lost in the tenth to the Braves last night 4-3. After the Braves tied the game in the third inning 2-2, the pitching took over as both pitching staff's were spot on until the tenth. Lookouts pitchers, Omar Bencomo (6IP,7H,2R,2ER,6K) turned the game over to Cody Stashak in the eighth and he retired all the Braves he faced. Tyler Jay did the same thing in the ninth but was snagged for the loss in the tenth with a bases loaded walk in the loss. A pinch runner on and a questionable call with a bunt and an intentional walk set the table for the walk off loss. The Lookouts got a two hit night from Jordan Gore including his triple that gave them the initial lead. With the series loss the Lookouts send LHP-Dietrich Enns to the mound to face RHP-Enderson Franco. Follow the game on 96.1 and at Milb.com beginning at 7:45 EDT.
