BATTLE CREEK, MI - The Eau Claire Express bested the Battle Creek Bombers in a lightning delayed game by a score of 7-3 at C.O. Brown Stadium.

Eau Claire got on the board right away in the top of the 1st inning as Josh Scheffert hit a sacrifice fly into left field to score Ryan Shober. They scored 2 more runs in the 3rd inning and the 6th inning off of Bomber starting pitcher Joe Battistelli to pad their lead.

The Bombers got in the scoring column in the 8th inning after a long solo home run from Daniel Rockett. They plated two more runs in the inning, however their comeback effort was halted, as Matt Southard got out of the jam and finished the game to earn the save.
