(LONDON, ON)- The Windsor Express (9-10) started their first game of a three game stretch on the road against 401 rivals, the London Lightning (16-4) with a loss, 104-98 despite a fourth quarter comeback.

The game was off to a rough start for both teams, with no basket scored for the first couple minutes. Shaquille Keith put up the first five points for the Express, keeping them in the lead. The Lightning finished the first quarter with a 26-20 lead.

London was off to a strong start in the second quarter, with Tyshawn Patterson hitting a jumper. London had their biggest lead of the game, 52-24 with over four minutes left in the quarter. London went into halftime with a 56-35 advantage.

Shaquille Keith started off the second half with a layup to keep the Express in the game. The Lightning held a double digit lead for the rest of the quarter, until Tony Bennett brought it within 6 with two minutes remaining. The Express finished the third trailing 81-66.

Newcomer Rudolphe Joly opened the final quarter with a lay in to close the gap in the score. Windsor grabbed their first lead of the game after Chris Commons hit a three pointer, 91-88 at the five minute mark. Nick Okorie sealed the win for London by hitting a pair of free throws with a final score of 104-98.

Brandon Robinson led the Express in scoring with 24 points, and added 8 boards. Chris Commons had 19 points of his own, and Shaquille Keith added 16 points.

Rudolphe Joly nearly had a double double in his debut with 10 points and 9 boards, a game high.

Akeem Wright led the Lightning with 19 points. Warren Ward and Ryan Anderson each had 17 points.

The Windsor Express will travel to St Catherines to take on the Niagara River Lions on Friday, February 19th for a 7:00pm game start.

The Express are back at The WFCU Centre on Saturday, February 20th for a rematch against the London Lightning. Game time is scheduled for 7:30pm.
