
Hurricanes Defeat Storm at Scotiabank Centre

Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Island Storm 107-99 in NBL Canada action February 19th at the Scotiabank Centre. Hurricanes now have a record of 13-5 and lead the Atlantic Division.
Hurricanes led the Storm at the end of the first quarter 24-21. In the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Storm 24-19, and led 48-40 at halftime. In the third quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Storm 32-28. The Storm outscored the Hurricanes 31-27 in the final quarter but the Hurricanes prevailed; The final score of the game was 107-99.
Forward, Mike Glover led the Hurricanes with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Guard, Shane Gibson scored 23 points. Guard, Cliff Clinkscales ended with 15 points. Forward, Billy White scored 11 points. Guard, Justin Johnson scored 10 points.
Forward, Brent Jennings led the Storm with 22 points. Guard, Rashad Whack scored 21 points. Forward, Brian Addison scored 15 points. Forward, Tirrell Baines scored 10 points. Guard, Morgan Lewis scored 10 points.
The Hurricanes will play the Niagara River Lions Friday February 26th at the Scotiabank Centre.
