
Express Hosts Memphis Redbirds for Four-Game Set

ROUND ROCK, Texas - For the first time in 2013, the Express welcomes the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals) to Dell Diamond for a four-game set June 18-21. All four games are set to start at 7:05 p.m.
After four-game series in Oklahoma City, Round Rock returns home for a four pack against the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. The series opens Tuesday night with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch on Turn Back Tuesday at Dell Diamond. The Express will don its 1959 Austin Senators jerseys while tickets will be half price, presented by Cedar Park Dentistry. Wednesday will be Winning Wednesday, presented by the Texas State Lottery featuring game show style promotions throughout the night run by host Ballpark Rob Barker as well as Tyson Foods Night. On Thursday, Dell Diamond will feature $1.00 sodas and discounted draft beers as a part of the Original Thirsty Thursday, presented by Firetrol Protection Systems. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive the Express' 2013 baseball card set, courtesy of Minuteman Press of Georgetown. As the series concludes Friday night, the Central Texas sky will glow with Friday fireworks, presented by Budweiser at the conclusion of the game.
The Redbirds enter as the leaders of the American Northern Division and will bring eight of the Cardinals' top 20 organizational prospects. The Memphis roster includes the No. 3 overall prospect according to MLB.com in outfielder Oscar Taveras as well as seven other top prospects. Along with Taveras, No. 2 RHP Carlos Martinez, No. 3 INF Kolton Wong, No. 4 RHP Michael Wacha (former Texas A&M standout), No. 8 Michael Blazek, No. 9 Maikel Cleto, No. 11 Eric Fornataro and No. 18 INF Greg Garcia will also be featured in the visitor's dugout.
