Express Get Two Players from Norfolk

ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Express received two players from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League today, it was announced by Express Head Coach and General Manager Perry Florio. Forward Cam Bristow and defenseman Scott Balan will both join the Express for tonight's game vs. Lexington.

For Balan, this will be his third stint with the Express this season. Overall, the 21-year-old has played in seven games with Roanoke this year, compiling two points and ten penalty minutes. With the Admirals, Balan has seen action in 13 games and has no points and 25 PIM. The Red Deer, Alberta native is in his first professional season, after spending the previous five years in the Western Hockey League with Regina and Saskatoon.

Bristow will make his Roanoke Express debut after playing in 22 games with Norfolk. The 29-year-old Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native earned four points (3 goals, 1 assist) with the Admirals this season and picked up 43 PIM. Bristow has spent parts of four seasons playing in the British hockey league, including earlier this year.

Other changes to the Express roster include forwards Dan Sullivan and Brad Essex being added to the injured reserve list. Sullivan was placed on the 7-day IR with a sore shoulder and Essex was moved to the 30-day IR. In addition Blair Stayzer was moved from the 7-day to the 30-day IR as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
