SALISBURY, Md. - Delmarva took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning, but the BlueClaws scored seven unanswered runs en route to a 7-1 victory in a 10:35 a.m. start in the final game of the three-game series at Purdue Stadium.

The No. 3 through No. 6 hitters in the BlueClaws lineup combined to go 9-for-16 with six doubles, six runs and two RBI on the morning. Kelly Dugan (2-for-4), Maikel Franco (2-for-4), Harold Martinez (3-for-4) and Brian Pointer (2-for-4) were the lone BlueClaws with multi-hit games.

Mike Nesseth pitched three scoreless innings of relief in place of starting pitcher Mario Hollands who left the ballgame after four innings. Hollands was making his first start of the season and allowed one run in four innings which was his longest outing of the season. Nesseth moves to 3-1 with the victory after allowing a single to the leadoff man he faced before retiring the next nine batters who came to the plate.

The win for Lakewood gave them the series victory over Delmarva and secured the BlueClaws' first road series win of the 2012 season. The seven runs were the most Lakewood has scored in 15 games (seven runs, April 29th versus Greenville) and the 13 hits were the most the BlueClaws recorded this season (previous high: 12 hits, Apri 14th versus Hagerstown).

The BlueClaws head to Greensboro, N.C. to take on the South Atlantic League Northern Division-leader Greensboro Grasshoppers. The matchup will be the fourth series this season in which the two teams square off. Kenny Giles (0-1, 4.56) will start for Lakewood against Greensboro's Josh Hodges (2-1, 4.79). First pitch for Thursday's game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
