Johnstown Chiefs News Release

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - With 24 days left before the home opener, there is plenty for Chiefs fans to get excited about. The surest sign that the season is getting close is the chill in the air at the UPMC Health Plan Ice Rink at the Cambria County War Memorial.

This season there will certainly be plenty of eyes watching that ice surface, too. In the most recent league report, the Chiefs rank ninth in the ECHL in sales of new full season equivalents with 170. Full season equivalents count season tickets and flex plans (36 flex tickets = 1 FSE). Don't forget about the Chiefs' Community Challenge either. With 23 season tickets sold since the challenge was issued, there only need to be 177 more season tickets sold in order for the Chiefs to donate 700 tickets for this season to area charities and non-profits. You can call 1-800-SLAPSHOT to order your season tickets today! Season tickets are the best way to save on Chiefs tickets all season long.

Keep an eye on the Chiefs' website, www.johnstownchiefs.com, all this week for more news about recent player signings and information on the upcoming training camp. Also don't forget that you can meet the Chiefs' new coaching staff, head coach Jeff Flanagan and assistant coach Jason Spence, at the press conference scheduled for this Friday, September 25 at 10:00 a.m. in the lobby of the War Memorial.
