Everything You Need to Know Before Orange County SC Hosts Monterey Bay on Our Tenth Anniversary Celebration

How to Watch: At The Champ. Championship Stadium. Championship Soccer Stadium at The Great Park in Irvine (ESPN+/Bally Sports SoCal if you must, but seriously, you won't want to miss this!!)

Orange County SC returns home to Championship Stadium during Week 17 for a matchup with Monterey Bay FC at 7:00 PM. Not only does this match mark the halfway point of the 2023 season, but it is also our Ten Year Anniversary celebration and Start of Summer Beerfest! Make sure that you're in the stadium early so you don't miss out on any activities! Gates will open for VIP Beerfest tickets at 4:00 PM, General Beerfest tickets at 5:00 PM and general admission at 6:00 PM.

CRISP DEFENSE POWERS THE VISITORS

Monterey Bay FC sits in 3rd place in the USL Championship's Western Conference. The Crisp and Kelp of MBFC share something in common with the Black and Orange, as they are the only two teams to have taken all three points from Western Conference leaders, Sacramento Republic FC. They have three clean sheets in five matches and have won four matches in a row (4-0-1). Forward Alex Dixon leads the side in goals this year with eight and his attack partner Christian Volesky is right behind him with seven. Goalkeeper Antony Siaha has four clean sheets so far this season.

BLACK AND ORANGE BACKLINE BRINGING THE HEAT

Orange County SC recorded their first back-to-back victory of the season after their 1-0 win against Detroit City FC last Saturday. Forward Milan Iloski scored his seventh goal of the season with a towering header. Iloski now finds himself in third place in the USL Championship Golden Boot Race, just two behind the league leaders. Goalkeeper Colin Shutler kept his fourth clean sheet in five matches, making six saves against DCFC at Keyworth Stadium, including a USL Championship Fans' Choice Save of the Week nominee. Shutler's strong play of late has been one of the catalysts to OCSC's resurgence over the last month.

This year is Orange County SC's 10th year calling the City of Irvine home! From the campuses of UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton averaging a little over 500 fans in attendance, to our home of Championship Soccer Stadium at the Great Park and averaging over 4,000 fans last year. We are proud to call Irvine our home and proud to represent our community. We will be commemorating this celebration at our July 1 match with Monterey Bay FC at 7:00 PM at Championship Stadium.
