St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN (May 13, 2014) - Ever feel like you're stuck in a box? Maybe climbing a ladder, but not getting anywhere? Or even playing tug-of-war with yourself? If so then the St. Paul Saints are bringing back one of their most talked about promotions during their 22-season history with the return of 1993s Silent Night.
On Friday night, May 16 it's a night that would make Marcel Marceau smile as mimes will help entertain the crowd. The mimes will be dressed in tight black clothing interacting with fans without uttering a word. Facial expressions, body language and showmanship will be the theme of the night.
The Saints will also bring back Mime-O-Vision the notorious form of instant replay from the 1993 season. Mimes will be placed on top of the dugout to re-enact close plays on the field. Unlike Major League Baseball, the American Association doesn't have video review, but the mimes could add a step in that direction for the league.
When asked for a comment about the night Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager, Derek Sharrer, simply gave two thumbs up.
Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, as part of their Mini-a-Day-Giveaway in May will partake in a unique promotion called How Many Mimes in the MINI. The goal is to fit as many Mimes inside of a MINI Cooper as possible.
Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets are $6 for general admission, $9 for outfield reserved and $14 for infield reserved. Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks (except July 3, August 28) are an additional $2 per ticket. Saints Special Event Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks Supershow (July 3, August 28) are an additional $3 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket.
