
Everett wins over Boise

BOISE, Idaho - Jim Wood went 2-for-4 with the tying and go-ahead RBIs, helping the Everett Aquasox end a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 victory over the Boise Hawks, before 3,066 fans at Memorial Stadium.
Wood tied the game in the sixth inning with a two-out RBI double, then gave the Aquasox the lead for good in the eighth with a two-out RBI triple, scoring Patrick Brady with the winning run.
Matt Bischoff was stellar in relief for the Frogs, tossing three shutout innings, fanning four, to earn his second win.
Everett took a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning, as Jharmidy DeJesus hit a opposite field solo homer, with Mario Yepez scoring on a throwing error later in the frame for the Aquasox.
The Hawks would answer in the bottom of the frame, getting back to back RBI doubles by Kenny Socorro and Pin-Chieh Chen, taking the lead on a bases-loaded walk by Reggie Golden.
Chen was the lone Boise hitter with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-5 in the loss, ending the Hawks eight-game home win streak.
Austin Reed will meet Jose Campos in Game 3 of the series tomorrow night at 7:15 p.m.
